On Friday, July 3, 2020, Judy Antener-Mendez, loving wife and mother, passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 50 after losing her battle with her Neuroendocrine Carcinoma Cancer. Judy was born on September 30, 1969 in Valley Forge, PA to Roger and Barbara Hopkins. Judy graduated with a degree in Marketing from Southwest Texas State University. She moved to Colorado in 1996 where she owned several successful companies throughout her life, including a bar, The Recovery Room, and 1-derful Roofing & Restoration. Judy had two beautiful daughters, Quincy and Berkley, whom she loved very much. On May 26, 2018 Judy married Ricardo Mendez. Throughout her life Judy had a talent for bringing people together with her joy, humor and wit. Judy blessed those she knew with her magnetic personality and generous, loving heart.
Judy was preceded in death by her father, Roger Hopkins, and mother, Barbara Hopkins. She is survived by her husband, Ricardo Mendez, daughters Quincy and Berkley Antener, step-mother, June Sekiguchi, sisters, Kim (Paul) Baker and Kim (Matt) Archer, nieces, Emily Baker and Mallory Archer, and nephew Graham Archer, as well as her loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Judy’s celebration of life will be held on August 9, 2020 at the Antener-Mendez house located at 10620 W. Raspberry Mtn. Littleton, CO 80127. Please drop by between 4-9pm, dinner will be at 5pm, with a slideshow and speeches to follow at 6pm.
