Daniel L Frick passed away on March 25, 2020 after a long fight with diabetes and resulting
complications. He was buried in a private ceremony on April 3, 2020 in Littleton Cemetary in Colorado.
Dan was born on April 12, 1955 in Loveland, Colorado, and lived and worked in the Denver Metro area
his entire life. He owned a construction company, Ideal Excavating, in the 1980s.
As a youngster Dan played baseball, and was so good at short stop that his Uncle Jerry often
commented on how he could've gone pro had he kept playing! In healthier times as an adult he enjoyed
backpacking, camping, fishing, waterskiing, fast boats, and fast cars!
He had a great sense of humor, even through his declining health - teasing and joking with the care
givers at the dialysis center (he was a favorite there), and doctors and nurses in the hospital.
Dan was preceded in death by his father, Malvin D Frick, and nephew, Steven D Frick, Jr.
He leaves behind his son Zachary Frick, mother Helen Frick, brother Steven Frick Sr (wife Patricia Frick),
sister Rebecca Slegl (husband Steve Slegl), nephew Derek Slegl, nieces Laura McElhinney, Julie Becker,
and Angela Slegl, all residing in Colorado. Additionally, Dan leaves grand nieces and nephews Kayla
Hills; Bret and Colton McElhinney; Alexis, Jessalyn, and Desirae Slegl; Corey and Emma Becker, and
great-grand nephews and niece Jackson, Harper, and Clara McElhinney, as well as other relatives and
the many friends Dan made over the years due to his sense of humor, and generous nature.
