Obituary

Adventist Hospital at the age of eighty. She was the loving mother of three and
grandmother of seven.
Clara was born in Grimes, Oklahoma on November 9 th , 1939 to hard working
farmers, Clarence Lee and Mary Louise (Purvis) Davis. She then grew up in
Sweetwater and Porum, Oklahoma. She had nine siblings.
Clara met Max N. Huffman in Colorado Springs, Colorado on a double blind

Clara and Max raised three children: Susan, Kerry, and Jeff.
Regarding her education, Clara received an accounting degree from Metro
State College and worked for the State of Colorado as auditor for many years.
Regarding recreation, Clara enjoyed watching the Denver Broncos and the Colorado
Rockies. Max and Clara were season ticket holders to the Denver Broncos for many
years. Clara also loved to bake cakes, cookies, and pies. Her favorite pie was pecan.
She also liked reading novels by John Grisham and Agatha Christi.
Clara was a member of the Littleton Ladies Elks Lodge. She loved to go
dancing with Max and to events at the Elks Lodge. Clara also loved Mexican food,
Chinese food, and anything with shrimp. She loved being with and visiting her
siblings at the Davis Family Reunions. Clara was also close to her husband’s family:
Jody, Marcy, and Rex. They had many enjoyable Christmases and Thanksgivings
together.
Clara was preceded in death by her father (Clarence Lee Davis), mother
(Mary Louise Purvis Davis), brother (Odell Davis), and husband (Max N. Huffman).
She is survived by her three children (Susan, Kerry, and Jeff), two sons-in-law
(Kevin and Rodo), seven grandchildren (Timothy [Nikaela - Spouse], Matthew
[Hawa - Spouse], Ellen, Joshua, Aaron, Naomi, and Ben), sisters (Freda, Cleta,
LaVonne, Fran, and Gayle), brothers (Charles, Harold, and Kenneth), and numerous

A sister-in-law is like gaining a new friend & sister. I remember the day 60 years ago when my brother Max brought this cute girl with freckles home to meet the family. You only had to look at the sparkle in Max's eyes when Clara smiled at him to know they were meant for each other. They built a life together and raised three beautiful nieces & nephew for me to spoil. During the last 60 years, Clara & I shared happiness & tears. All our life events were we're made richer because of Clara's wit and gentleness. She is now with my beloved brother & they are both smiling once again. Dear Clara...I hold you dear to my heart.
