Donald Warren Atnes "D.A."

Passed away on Sunday, September 3,2017, in Denver Colorado. Donald was born Donald William Parent JR., on November 20, 1968, in Wichita, KS.

Donald was welcomed by his parents, June (Parent) Atnes-Burgan and Donald William Parent SR. of Pineville, Louisiana. He is survived by mother, June Atnes-Burgan of Wichita, KS, step-father Warren Gerald Atnes, brother Roger, Gina and Scout Atnes of Colorado, Fiancé, Tonya Thompson of Denver, CO., daughters Hunter Bilbeisi of San Antonio, TX., Allison Johnson of Ohio, Avery Harris of Fairfield Montana, Aunt Juvia and Jerry Borden, Uncle Bill & Norma Tabing, Aunt Julie & Tom NeSmith, all from Wichita KS,  and many many friends all over the country. He is preceded in death by his father Donald William SR.

Donald served in the United States Navy, from 1988 to 1991. Don loved his country.

Donald so loved the Lord our God.

When he entered a room it came alive with his smile for all, making everybody feel special.

He loved cooking and trying new recipes on all his friends.  He enjoyed fishing, craw dadding, hunting, camping and traveling throughout the world.

When Don was adopted he was told he could change his middle name to anything he wanted.  About an hour later he had it, he knew what it should be now.  I wished people knew him as

                        DONALD TARZAN ATNES.

It would have suited him so well.

Instead of monetary or flower donations, do something nice with BIG DADDY DA in your thoughts.  Make your friends dinner one evening or take someone fishing...  Maybe adopt that ugly shelter dog you've had your eye on!  Hell, you could even make some crawfish traps and head down to the nearest lake.  Why the heck not, right?  If money is your thing, hit that donate button and we'll figure out something good to do with it.  Donnie touched many lives in his short time on Earth.  Let's help keep his memory going.

Thank you for all your prayers and positive thoughts,

The Atnes Family
